The Multi Stand Reducing Rolling Mill is composed of 8-24 continuous rolling rolls connected in series, which rely on the tension between the stands to achieve continuous reduction and finishing of pipes and bars. It is divided into two categories: seamless steel pipe tension reducing machine and rod and wire reducing sizing unit. The core supporting hot rolling production line end covers five major fields: energy, automotive, heavy industry, aviation, and heat exchange pipes.
1、 Seamless steel pipe production line (core application)
1. Oil and gas energy transmission pipeline
Equipped with a hot-rolled seamless steel pipe unit, the large-diameter raw pipes are continuously reduced in diameter to produce API pipeline pipes, oil well casings, and high-pressure gathering and transportation pipes (X70/X80 high steel grade).
Advantages: Multi rack tension uniform wall reduction, uniform wall thickness, outer diameter tolerance ± 0.05mm, hydrogen induced cracking resistance, suitable for high-pressure corrosion conditions in oil fields.
2. Boiler/power heat exchange steel pipe
Produce high-pressure boiler tubes, superheater tubes, water-cooled wall tubes, and waste heat recovery heat exchange tubes, including the round tube blanks that match the flat tubes of the heat exchanger you mentioned earlier. First, the outer diameter is precisely controlled by a reducing mill, and then the flat tubes are formed by resistance welding.
3. Mechanical hydraulic precision steel pipe
Automotive transmission shaft tubes, engineering machinery hydraulic cylinder tubes, and precision hydraulic seamless tubes meet the roundness and straightness standards after reducing diameter, reducing subsequent cold drawing processes.
4. Construction scaffolding, fluid conveying pipes
Carbon steel universal fluid pipe and scaffold pipe, a raw pipe blank is reduced in diameter by multiple racks to produce more than ten types of small-diameter finished products, significantly reducing mold costs and improving production capacity.
5. Stainless steel/special alloy pipes
304/316 stainless steel pipes, titanium alloy, nickel based alloy chemical anti-corrosion pipelines, multi rack micro tension rolling to avoid thin-walled pipe cracking and ensure surface smoothness.
2、 Youte Steel Bar and Wire Production Line (mainly consisting of KOCKS three roll reducing sizing units)
1. Special round steel for automobile manufacturing
Bearing steel, gear steel, spring steel, and non quenched and tempered steel bars are used for transmission, chassis, and engine components; Multi rack step-by-step reduction of diameter, achieving DIN high-precision dimensional accuracy, eliminating the need for extensive turning processing.
2. Steel for wind power and rail transit
Wind turbine spindle round steel, railway axle steel, high-strength anchor chain steel, stable control of grain structure, and improvement of material fatigue strength.
3. High strength threaded steel for construction
The end of the high bar production line is equipped with a dual module reducing sizing unit, which rolls HRB500/600 high-strength steel bars, unifies the outer diameter tolerance, and improves the consistency of thread forming.
4. Aerospace special alloy rods
Titanium, molybdenum, tungsten, and high-temperature alloy precision bar materials are continuously rolled with small deformation on multiple stands to reduce single pressure reduction and prevent alloy cracking. They are used for aviation structural components and hydraulic valve cores.
3、 New energy thermal management supporting pipes (extended application)
Pre production billet for parallel flow flat tubes in heat pumps and new energy vehicle air conditioners: The round tube billet is precision controlled for outer diameter and uniform wall thickness by a multi stand reducing mill, and then rolled and welded with high-strength heat exchange flat tubes;
Batch precision rolling of energy storage water-cooled tube bundles and photovoltaic equipment cooling steel pipes.
4、 Positioning instructions for supporting production lines
Standard configuration for hot-rolled seamless pipe production line: The raw pipes after perforation and rolling enter the 12-24 rack tension reducing machine, which can complete diameter reduction, extension, and rounding in one go. A single billet can produce multiple specifications of small pipes, which is the core equipment for expanding specifications and increasing production capacity in steel pipe factories;
End of precision rolling of long bar: the last process of special steel large/small bar production line, 3-8 sets of three roll reduction sizing, replacing traditional multi pass precision rolling, improving dimensional accuracy and yield;
Cold processing pre finishing: After reducing the diameter, the surface defects of the pipe are less and the size is stable, which can directly eliminate a cold drawing process and reduce the production cost of precision pipes.
