It is divided into daily inspection, regular maintenance, key component maintenance, and operation and maintenance taboos.
1、 Daily check before startup (mandatory for each shift)
1. Lubrication system
Check the lubricating oil/grease level of the bearing seat, confirm that the oil circuit is unobstructed and there is no leakage; Pay attention to the oil temperature and pressure when lubricating with thin oil; Lubricate with grease and replenish it on time to avoid dry grinding and heating of bearings.
2. Rollers and roller gaps
Visually inspect the surface of the rolling mill for scratches, sticking, cracks, and rust; Confirm that the roller gap adjustment mechanism operates smoothly without any jamming; Check the balance of the roll gap on both sides to prevent uneven rolling load.
3. Cooling and rolling medium system
Clean the nozzle debris to ensure that the cooling medium is evenly sprayed onto the rolling mill; There is no leakage in the pipeline, and the flow and pressure are stable; Eliminate uneven thermal convexity of the rolling mill caused by one-sided cooling.
4. Transmission components
Check the tightness of couplings, universal shafts, and connecting bolts; Pay attention to any looseness; The protective devices are complete and reliable.
5. Hydraulic/Pressing Mechanism
Check for oil leakage in the oil cylinder and seal; The limit and pressure display devices are working properly; The lifting roller gap during the no-load test operates smoothly.
6. Safety devices
The emergency stop button, safety door, and interlocking device functions are effective.
2、 During operation inspection (continuous monitoring of rolling process)
1. Monitor the sound of the entire machine and immediately reduce the speed for troubleshooting if there are periodic abnormal noises or impact sounds;
2. Monitor the temperature of the bearing seat, and ensure that the temperature difference between the left and right sides is not too large. If there is an abnormal temperature rise, stop the machine in a timely manner;
3. Observe the vibration situation and promptly check the anchor bolts, foundation fastening, and spring buffering devices for severe vibrations;
4. Pay attention to the condition of the rolling medium and promptly clean the metal debris and impurities inside the circulating filtration device;
5. Avoid long-term full load and continuous high temperature operation of the equipment to prevent seal aging and oil deterioration.
3、 Maintenance after shutdown (at the end of each shift)
1. Clean the metal dust, oxide scale, and residue on the surface of the rolling mill, frame, and guide; Do not scratch the roller surface with hard objects.
2. Lift open the gap between the rollers to avoid local pressure marks caused by prolonged contact and compression of the rollers;
3. Clean the filter screen and discharge impurities deposited at the bottom of the circulating oil tank;
4. Long term shutdown, protect and rust the roller surface, and turn off water, oil, and gas sources;
5. Keep good operation records: temperature, abnormal noise, leakage, and abnormal product conditions.
4、 Key points of periodic regular maintenance
1. Roll system
Regularly verify the parallelism of the rolling mill rolls; Regularly check the wear of the roller surface and repair it in a timely manner when it reaches the wear limit; After replacing the rolling mill, recalibrate the level and zero point of the roll gap.
2. Bearing maintenance
Replace lubricating grease periodically; Replace the bearings in a timely manner if there is an increase in clearance or abnormal noise to prevent them from locking and scratching the roll neck of the rolling mill.
3. Pressing and guiding mechanism
Regularly clean the screw rod and guide rail debris, and add lubrication; Check for any gap movement and adjust the pressure plate and strip if necessary.
4. Transmission system
Regularly check the wear and lubrication condition of the universal joint cross shaft; Replace the aging buffer components of the elastic coupling in a timely manner.
5. Hydraulic system
Regularly take samples to check the cleanliness and viscosity of hydraulic oil; Change oil and filter element on time; Prevent oil contamination from causing valve group jamming.
6. Foundation and foundation
Regularly recheck the tightening torque of the foundation bolts. Loose foundations can continue to cause vibration and deviation.
5、 Key maintenance taboos
1. Do not stop the machine for a long time under pressure while the rolling mill is in contact;
2. It is prohibited to use sharp tools to directly scrape the working surface of the rolling mill;
3. Insufficient lubrication and ineffective cooling are strictly prohibited from forcibly starting the machine for rolling;
4. In case of material jamming or stacking, it is forbidden to forcefully reverse the hard top to prevent damage to the roller surface and transmission components;
5. It is not allowed to dismantle safety protection and short-circuit safety interlocks at will;
6. It is prohibited to clean or adjust the rolling mill and transmission parts while the equipment is in operation.
